The results of this year’s election may end up being closer than any previous election, which has resulted in many accusations concerning the validity of the election. None of these accusations or allegations have any truth to them – the voting process and the tabulation of ballots has been an overall smooth process, and voters should have confidence in the professionalism and integrity of all of the state’s elections officials.

Here are answers to frequently asked questions and here are some of the facts that bear repeating:

Voter Rights

FACT: Your early ballot must be returned the ballot affidavit envelope it came with, and that envelope must be signed and sealed.

FACT: Most counties recommend blue or black ballpoint pens to fill out your ballot. However, recommendations can vary by jurisdiction.

FACT: Counties are responsible for calculating how many ballots to order.
